An accounting student from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) achieved the highest marks in Malaysia and the world in the July-December 2019 Professional Accounting Program examination.
Hakeem Mohammad Akmal, 18, received a 100% mark for the ‘Recording Financial Transactions’ (FA1) paper, thus qualifying him to be awarded the highest title in Malaysia and in the world by The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), based in United Kingdom.
In a statement today reported by Berita Harian, UiTM said Hakeem has been pursuing a Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) accounting professional program at UiTM Shah Alam since July 2019. He had previously completed SPM with 9As.
Hakeem said that he was grateful to be around friends and lecturers who were very helpful even though he asked a lot of questions in class. He elaborated,
