It’s about to be the weekend and since we’ve all been advised to stay at home, that means it’s the perfect time for us to experiment with recipes!
Recently, we came across a recipe for molten lava cake by Singaporean actress Cynthia Koh which quickly blew up! Cynthia shared the recipe on her Instagram and it looks super easy! Without further ado, we’ll introduce her recipe to you.
This recipe yields four servings and requires an air fryer.
Once you’ve got all the ingredients, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get to work!
Firstly, you have to use the double boiler method which means you put a pot on top of another pot which has hot water. For this recipe, make sure that the water is hot but not boiling. If it’s boiling then you should turn off the heat, if not then you should keep it at a gentle heat.
Then, put in the butter and chocolate chips into the pot on top and stir it until it’s smooth and mixed well.
In a bowl, beat two eggs and then slowly pour the eggs into the mixture. Add a pinch of salt and mix well.
Add the flour into the mixture and mix well until smooth.
Butter up your baking tins before you pour the mixture in.
Preheat the air fryer at 180°C for five minutes. After that, put in the tins into the air fryer at 180°C for five-seven minutes. Check the cakes at the five-minute mark and if you want it to be a bit more ‘solid’ then go for the whole seven minutes.
Take it out of the air fryer and flip the cakes out of the tins. Enjoy! Molten lava cakes go well with ice-cream and fresh fruits so pick your fighters!
