Malaysian book lovers down south now have a reason to celebrate! BookXcess has just opened its latest store in Sunway Iskandar and it is nothing short of impressive. The bookstore chain that is widely popular for its concept stores and selling affordable books, is starting their 2020 with a bang, leaving a mark in Johor.

The 32,000-square ft bookstore will cater to all book lovers in Johor, Singapore and some say Batam. Smirk.

Just like the other outlets, visitors can find almost any genre of books here at BookXcess’ Sunway Big Box outlet. There is even an area specifically for kids, called the Children’s Cave which also has ‘Magical Books’ which incorporates Augmented Reality (AR) technology, enhancing the kids’ reading and learning experience.

As reported by Mashable, Andrew Yap, Co-Founder of BookXcess Sdn Bhd explained that the company has a goal of instilling the love of books and reading again within Malaysians. He said,

“We are calling all parents to instill the reading habit and increase the number of books exposed to their children in terms of variety. Reading increases knowledge, builds character, improves one’s thinking process and widens your awareness of social, economic and environmental issues.”
