Have you ever woke up feeling down, sad or just angry? Making your way to work in such a state of mind can largely affect your performance at the office throughout the day. Wouldn’t it be great if you can just stay at home or go out and cheer yourself up?

Well, a company in China has a very unique way of taking care of its workers’ welfare. The workers would only need to inform their superiors that they are having a bad mood and they will be allowed to take leave for the day. No long winded excuses needed!

The company, China Dinosaurs Park, has designated one paid holiday per month for all their workers so that they can relax and come back to work in high spirits.

As quoted by Daily Mail, Mr Chen, who leads the workers’ union at the company explained that most of the time, the workers have to deal with customers’ at the park and this will affect them negatively. So the leave policy is there to show that the company cares for its workers and love them.

Initially, the workers were only allowed to take a short break daily in order to calm themselves but later the company decided to give them the ability to take one day of paid leave per month to de-stress.

Like this I also want lah!

A happy worker will definitely contribute more to the company. Tan Sri Tony Fernandes once said, as quoted by BBC,

“Employees come number one, customers come number two. If you have a happy workforce they’ll look after your customers anyway.”

What do you think of this unique policy practice by the company in China? Would you appreciate an extra paid day off every month to mend your stressful hearts? Share with us your thoughts in the comment section.
