Taking to TikTok, a guest speaker in a podcast about Undi18 spoke up against the move to allow youth to vote and determine the direction of Malaysian politics.

Professor Dr Mohd Tajuddin Rasdi began his rant on the podcast and continued his argument as to why he opposed Undi18 from the very beginning.

“When some politician or certain parties proposed Undi18, I was against it. I said no. If you introduce Undi18, it will spur this conservative mindset,” he said.

“…because I know how Malays think, how they were taught, what’s happening with the middle class, and we are just heading into trouble.”

At the same time, he slammed Syed Saddiq and said, “Syed Saddiq thinks that our youth will save the country.”

He added, “The young don’t know a damn thing. I’m not being insulting here because I know what they learn. I am referring to their education, not necessarily our youth.”

“When you are educated in such a way, you do not have enough life experiences. Your life experiences shape who you are.”

“Unfortunately, with the level of education here, it is not going to do that,” he explained.
