We don’t know about you guys, but this is definitely a wedding of the year on our calendar!

This is your annual reminder to stop following celebrity weddings and root for the marriage of these adorable hippos instead. Jiwang and Junita are two hippos from the Sunway Lost World of Tambun, Perak. After being consumed by love, they got married today, as reported by BERNAMA.

Their matrimony signifies the very first animal wedding in the whole country. The fairytale wedding is set to happen tonight with a glamourous and traditional Malay theme.

Twitter users couldn’t help but gush over this wedding though some of them had their concerns over the two hippos’ relationship and if it was consensual. Others couldn’t help but wonder how these hippos have found love while the rest of us are still single.

Well, overall, Malaysians showered this couple with their congratulatory messages and hoped that the wedding is observed while maintaining SOPs.

Shoutout your wedding wishes to our favourite couple of 2021 in the comments section!
