Many Malaysians love to go to Thailand as it is near and the food there is incredible.

However, the country has announced that it will be reintroducing Covid-19 entry requirements for foreigners flying into the country from Monday, 9 January 2023.

The Thai Health Ministry said that they have been looking for ways to safely welcome Chinese tourists without targeting a singular nationality, hence, all foreign arrivals will have to prove that they are vaccinated.

“Adults must show proof of at least two vaccinations, or recovery from the virus since July.”

Those who are unvaccinated will have to show a medical report that justifies why they are unable to take the vaccine, reported Bangkok Post.

These rules will be in effect till 31 January 2023 and you can check the list of accepted vaccines along with the required doses on the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand’s website.

Additionally, visitors who plan to go to countries that require a negative PCR test upon arrival must have health insurance during their stay in Thailand.

So if you’re planning to go to Thailand this month, you should definitely print out your vaccination certificate from your MySejahtera application.
