Every country has laws that everyone, regardless of where you hail from, is expected to abide by. A Russian “daredevil” couple has recently shocked the nation after an image and a video of them posing on top of the Merdeka 118 Tower, leaving Malaysians to wonder about their audacity, as well as the security system at the tallest building in Malaysia.

However, it seems that their experience and process of climbing up the tower are not the details that may shock us. Just this morning, a report from Utusan claimed that the Russian couple may have allegedly entered Malaysia illegally as there are no records of their entry in the Immigration Department.

At the time of writing, investigations have shown that the pair are not in our country, and the immigration department has no records of their entry or exit.

“Regardless, the sources said that the authorities will continue to investigate the matter throughly,” Utusan reported.

In the meantime, the authorities are still waiting for results from the Malaysia Cyber Security agency which is currently analysing the video to determine its authenticity.

Just a few days back, the Russian woman, Angela Nikolai shared full details about her experience of climbing the Merdeka 118 Tower via her Twitter account. She masqueraded as one of the workers of the building, which enraged many Malaysians who believed that it is a violation of the law.

Despite clearly trespassing on the building, Angela assured that she respects the laws of every country, and she takes special care to not cause any damage while climbing a building.

Fellow Malaysians, do you think Angela should be convicted for her trespassing act, or do you think she is merely doing what she’s good at?
