Thai Man Dies After Teen Son Finds Him Convulsing While Surrounded by Over 100 Empty Beer Bottles

A 16-year-old Thai boy endured a traumatising experience when he returned from school only to find his father convulsing. Despite seeking help from a neighbour, who performed CPR on the man, he ultimately died as he reportedly only consumed beer for over a month.

According to a report by The Thaiger, the 44-year-old Thai man had divorced his wife and lived with his teenage son in Rayong, Thailand. Due to severe personal stress, he resorted to drinking alcohol heavily and his bed was found to be surrounded by over 100 empty beer bottles.

His son had explained that, although he had cooked meals for his father on a daily basis, the man never ate.

Upon finding his father in a convulsing state, the boy sought help from a neighbour, who performed CPR on the man. However, he became unresponsive, and emergency responders were called to the scene before he was pronounced dead.

 

What happens now

An autopsy is being performed on the man’s body to confirm his cause of death, though it is believed that excessive alcohol consumption highly contributed to his passing.

The issue of his son’s guardianship is also up in the air due to his death.
