Sungai Besar UMNO Chief Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos recently auctioned off several personal belongings to settle the remaining outstanding judgment debt owed to Seputeh Member of Parliament (MP) Teresa Kok.
On 28 January, Teresa served a notice of seizure, breaking the knob and lock of Jamal’s kitchen door at his Ampang home before replacing them. According to Utusan Malaysia, she had obtained a High Court order to seize Jamal’s movable assets to recover an outstanding judgment sum of RM66,061.85.

Taking to Facebook, Jamal shared how he successfully auctioned off two items, a slipper and a towel, that were used in a demonstration during Selangor’s water crisis when Datuk Seri Azmin Ali was Menteri Besar.
In a video, he added that there were two bidders for the items, with an individual from Negeri Sembilan buying the towel, while another bidder from Sabah purchased one of his slippers for RM33,000.

“Alhamdulillah, the two items were successfully auctioned, bringing in a total of RM66,000.
“Today was supposed to be the court auction over Teresa Kok’s claim of RM66,000. But yesterday, my son Mohamad Amin Daniel managed to get a postponement of the order. Still, the auction of the slipper and towel went ahead so we could pay Teresa Kok soon,” he said.
He also took a swipe at Teresa, sarcastically saying that he hopes the money will help her “realise her small-scale pig farming venture at her home.”
Teresa Kok warns UMNO leader of legal action over the defamatory remarks
In response to his video, Teresa has addressed the remarks Jamal made about her, including his call to “reopen” matters involving her name and the repetition of previous allegations.
“For a long time, I’ve exercised patience. I’ve chosen not to respond to every provocation or irresponsible comment, as I don’t believe Malaysians benefit from constant political attacks or attempts to stir controversy for personal attention.
“My focus has always been on serving the people, promoting harmony, and ensuring political discussions remain responsible, measured, and based on the truth,” she wrote.

Teresa also pointed out that this is no longer just political commentary or ordinary criticism, but a deliberate provocation and a personal attack.
“What’s especially troubling is the crude and unethical way Datuk Jamal continues to act, including mocking and belittling the amount ordered by the Court. Turning compliance with a court decision into a joke isn’t just insulting; it shows a disregard for basic decency and the judicial process.
“I deeply regret that Jamal continues to provoke and make statements that only stir tension, create disharmony, and undermine the rule of law. I sincerely hope he reflects on his actions, stops making defamatory remarks, and acts responsibly going forward.”
She also stressed that if the defamatory statements persist, she would have no choice but to take the appropriate legal action.
