If you’ve visited any malls lately, you would’ve noticed that temperature checks were conducted at the mall entrance and before you enter every shop.

However, Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, announced in a press conference today that temperature checks only need to be conducted at the entrance of the mall instead of temperature checks at every shop.

Nevertheless, you’re still required to register and enter your information using the MySejahtera app. This step is vital to enable contact tracing just in case anyone from the mall was found to be infected with Covid-19.

The same standard operating procedures (SOP) applies for hotels as well, where your temperature only needs to be screened at the entrance. This means that there’s no need for temperature checks if you were to visit the stores or restaurants inside the hotel.

Meanwhile, the minister reminds netizens to always ensure they register with the MySejahtera app despite the lack of temperature checking.

If you still haven’t downloaded the app, what are you waiting for? Download the app now and play a part in containing the Covid-19 wave in our country!
