This is seriously shocking!
A video went viral on Chinese social media not long ago showing a secondary school student getting flung off the fourth level of his school building by another student. The incident is believed to have taken place in Guangxi, China on September 16 in the morning.
According to Sohu, the video was taken from a CCTV nearby and before the incident, a group of students was hanging out in the corridor during their break time. There seems to be some talking before a tall boy, known as Huang, suddenly picks up another student dressed in black and tips him over the edge of the building.
Other students who were present there were stunned and none of them were able to react in time to save the victim. They quickly rushed to the side and watched him crash to the ground with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the culprit ignored the hubbub behind him and just turned around to calmly walk back into the classroom.
The victim was identified as Wei and he suffered serious injuries including ruptured organs, multiple fractures, severe bleeding and a punctured lung from his fall. He is still in the ICU as he is in a critical condition and Huang had been arrested for questioning.
At first, netizens were outraged at Huang’s actions as he had injured a student seemingly without rhyme or reason and criticised him heavily. However, another side of the story emerged, as it appeared that Wei was a bully and was always picking on Huang even though he was taller than him. It looks like on that fateful day, Huang finally could not take it anymore and retaliated to Wei’s taunts.
Huang’s mother said that she had heard him complaining before about getting regularly bullied by a gang of students who would chase him around although he was 190cm tall. Or maybe it was because of this?
She would advise him to tell the teachers but Huang had told her the teachers were too afraid of the bullies to help. She added that it was Wei who always provoked her son even during the holidays.
Netizens supported Huang instead upon hearing about Wei’s actions and said Wei was a big bully who shouldn’t get any sympathy. However, Wei’s father also claims that his son did not bully Huang and urged others to think properly before saying anything. Currently, the police have not confirmed the cause of the incident and are still investigating.
