A recent dashcam footage shared by SG Road Vigilante has caught the attention of many netizens, showing an SUV driving against traffic in Singapore.

According to the post, the incident reportedly happened at the junction of Jurong West Avenue 4 and Jurong West Street 64 on May 25 around 4:41 PM.

A motorcyclist signalled the driver to turn back

Based on the footage, the Honda SUV was seen driving into a one-way street, heading toward a line of vehicles that were stopped at a red light.

A motorcyclist who was already on the road tried signalling the driver to turn back, but the driver ignored the warning and continued going the wrong way, eventually stopping right in front of the rider.

The motorcyclist then rode up next to the SUV and once again tried to inform the driver of the correct direction, even pointing with his hand toward the proper road.

The driver signalled others to give way instead

However, the driver refused to back out. As the traffic light turned green, other vehicles struggled to move forward since the SUV was blocking the lane. Despite being honked at, the driver remained at a standstill, still unwilling to move.

The driver then switched on their hazard lights shortly after.

The driver then stuck their hand out of the window, signalling for the other drivers to reverse and give way instead.
