Following the opening chapter of Roots of Reunion, which blended Chinese New Year and Ramadan in a shared celebration of heritage and unity, Sunway Resort Hotel continues the journey with its Ramadan chapter, “Jemput Makan”.

More than a festive offering, this next chapter showcases the meaning of the campaign, turning inward to reflect on where our traditions were first shaped, where values were learned and where togetherness truly began.

At its heart, Roots of Reunion is a return to shared beginnings, to the tables where generations once gathered and to the cultural spaces that shaped who we are today. As the campaign unfolds through Ramadan, the focus shifts to celebrating Malay culture and hospitality, bringing guests together with the warmth, generosity and communal spirit that define the holy month.

Within this context, a familiar invitation that has long been synonymous with Sunway Resort Hotel’s Ramadan celebrations is sent out. Presented at Sunset Terrace, the hotel’s flagship all-day dining restaurant, the experience embraces nostalgia and comfort, evoking memories of simpler times and home-cooked meals shared at dusk. Here, the act of breaking fast becomes a moment of reunion, where families, friends and communities come together over flavours that feel both familiar and deeply meaningful.

Rooted in traditional Malay kampung-style dishes yet elevated through thoughtful presentation and abundance, Jemput Makan reflects the essence of a Malaysian table, one that welcomes diversity, encourages sharing and brings people together through food. It is a continuation of Roots of Reunion, not just in theme, but in spirit, reminding us that no matter the season, reunion always begins at the table.

Bringing hearts together across tables, where traditions meet and bonds grow stronger.
