Brace yourselves for the heavy downpour guys!

In a notice issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department yesterday (27 September), it said that the country will be experiencing a monsoon transition period from 28 September till early November 2018.

During this period, Malaysians can expect winds from various directions as the Southwest Monsoon season is coming to an end.

“Normally, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to occur in short intervals followed by frequent strong winds especially in the afternoon until night.”

“Most areas to be effected by this are west coast states and the interior of the peninsula, west coast of Sabah and the western and central parts of Sarawak,” the statement said.

As such, members of the public, especially those who are in the affected areas, are urged to take extra precaution and keep themselves updated with the latest information through the department’s website or social media page.

So guys, you know the drill. Bring an umbrella with you if you’re taking public transportation and slow down if you’re driving on rainy days, though we don’t think that would be a problem because the traffic is going to be slow-moving anyway!

Be safe guys!
