While we’d often like to believe that celebrities live bigger and more elaborate lives than us, it’s always important to remember that, just like us, they are regular people too.

House of Popiah has become a staple eatery in Giant Hypermarket at Seksyen 13, Shah Alam. Constantly raved about and crowded with customers, the owner of the stall often posts TikTok videos on his page @rosizwanarifin.

However, one recent guest who paid a visit to the eatery has made it more popular than ever in just a matter of days. In the video, a man can be seen casually walking past the store in a purple jubba. Stopping right in front of it after seeing the popiah, the store owner suddenly realises that the man is none other than Malaysian actor Shaheizy Sam.

Greeting the actor, Sam politely asks to look at the popiah. Starting a brief conversation with him, the store owner asks Sam where he was coming from, to which the personality said that he came from home. He even asked Sam if he has any new movies coming up, to which Sam responded saying that there would be one coming out soon.

The video ends with Sam asking how much the popiah costs, to which the owner stated that it would be just RM8. Handing the man a RM10 note, Sam asks the owner to keep the change before walking away.

Starstruck by his sudden appearance at Giant in Shah Alam, one user suggested that the store put up a sign saying that Sam has bought popiah from their store.

Another user who claimed to be a courier for Sam seemingly confirmed that the actor does in fact live nearby Giant Shah Alam, thereby making his visit there not entirely surprising.

Nevertheless, a plethora of individuals spoke about how humble and personable Sam is, despite having a sterling reputation in the entertainment industry.

“I once met Shhaheizy Sam in Kuching, Sarawak. He was shooting something at that point in time. I was lucky to be in the line where he was in front of me at Subway. He’s a good person and friendly, willing to entertain his fans,” wrote one user.

Since the clip has been uploaded, the store owner confirmed in further TikTok videos that he has been blessed with good business from members of the public who have also seen the clip.
