Hold on to your snacks! Two iconic local brands have come together in an unexpected brand collaboration to give Malaysians a taste of food, fashion and fun, and they’ve let the cat, or in this case, the monster, out of the bag.

This proudly Malaysian collaboration sees Mamee Monster, the iconic local snack brand, teaming up with popular local fashion brand Christy Ng to unveil a bold and playful collection of bags and snacks, blending nostalgia, creativity, and local pride into a vibrant celebration of culture. The Mamee Monster x Christy Ng collection is an intersection of snack and style that lets Mamee Monster fans make a fashion statement – to snack in style and step out in style.

“We wanted to reimagine Mamee Monster beyond the snack aisle,” said How Yuan Yi, Chief Marketing Officer of Mamee-Double Decker. “This collaboration with Christy Ng allows us to bring the iconic blue Monster & beloved snack to life in a whole new way — not just through the bags, but also through limited edition snack packs that match the collection. It’s a celebration of fun, fashion, and childhood memories.”

The limited edition Mamee Monster x Christy Ng bag collection comprises a vibrant lineup of five playful tote bags, sling bags and mini crossbodies, where each piece celebrates the cheeky charm of Mamee Monster and is designed to balance fun with wearability. Expect bold blues, playful graphics, and iconic elements from the Mamee Monster snack — all elevated with Christy Ng’s signature design approach.

“We drew inspiration from the snack’s packaging, Monster’s expressive personality, and the joy it brings to Malaysians of all ages,” said Christy Ng. “Our goal was to create pieces that spark joy and conversation. These bags are more than accessories — they’re wearable memories.”

To add even more excitement to the collaboration, Mamee Monster gamified the snacking experience with a fun and interactive Find & Win mechanic. Each limited-edition pack contains a card — and if you’re lucky enough to find a winner card, you can stand to win the exclusive Mamee Monster x Christy Ng bags or vouchers. Winners just need to scan the QR code on the tag to access a dedicated game page, where they’ll enter a unique code to unlock a digital game experience to discover what prize they’ve won. It’s not just about snacking anymore — it’s about playing, discovering, and winning in style. This experience is available from now until 31 Dec 2025.

Not interested in games? The Mamee Monster x Christy Ng bags are available for purchase at Christy Ng boutiques and through their online store.

Mamee Monster is a crunchy noodle snack that made its debut in 1974 with the pre-seasoned noodles eventually becoming one of the first Malaysia’s favourite snacks. Mamee Monster noodles became a hit not just with the youngsters but also with the adults, thanks to its rich flavour, strong marketing strategy and widespread availability.

Mamee Monster x Christy Ng limited edition packs are available in three flavours – BBQ, Hot & Spicy, and Chicken. They can be found at all major supermarkets, hypermarkets, mini-markets, petrol marts and convenience stores nationwide, as well as Mamee Jonker House in Malacca. They can also be purchased via MAMEE’s official store on Lazada and Shopee.
