It was just a normal day for Mohd Elfie in Singapore. It was a sunny Monday on June 12, 2017 and Elfie was riding on his motorcycle along the Pan Island Expressway (PIE), Singapore Coconuts reported.

He was riding around as usual when he suddenly noticed an elderly man who looked somewhat stranded in the middle of the highway.

According to Elfie’s own Facebook post, the elderly man was trying to walk over to his daughter-in-law’s house.

“He took the bus and missed a stop. So, he tried walking straight to the direction of the bridge and entered the expressway.

“His daughter-in-law’s place is at the end of the bridge on Eunos side.”

When the biker noticed the elderly man, he immediately stopped his vehicle to assist the man. As Elfie got down from his bike, and they both greeted each other.

The elderly man explained what had happened and where he was trying to head to. There were even several plastic bags of items which the uncle was carrying.

Without much hesitation, Elfie decided to send the man to his daughter-in-law’s home on his motorbike. He took out an extra helmet and let the uncle use it. Safety first, people!

Within five minutes, they arrived at the destination.

“I’m not sure if it’s a blessing in disguise or if he’s lucky to see me.

“But, I do know that I have to share this here and hope that it’ll encourage people to go out of their way to help others.

“Do good and good will come to you. Ramadhan Kareem everyone.”

Indeed, helping someone won’t always take up a lot of time in our daily lives. In fact, a simple act of kindness can go a long way.
