There are certain guidelines for content creators to adhere to prior to uploading content. Recently, Singaporean content creator, Titus Low did not fare so well with the police after he was slapped with a fine of SGD3,000 (approximately RM9,700) for transmitting obscene materials on OnlyFans.

Unfortunately, a fine was not the only punishment that Titus had to “accept”. For his offence of defying police orders, he has been sentenced to 3 weeks of jail time.

Titus breached a police order, barring him from accessing his OnlyFans account and the SGD3,000 fine was imposed for his offence of transmitting obscene material by electronic means.

In court, Titus pleaded guilty to both of the charges, as reported by Channel News Asia.

The court heard that Low was investigated for transmitting obscene material on OnlyFans in October 2021. A man had informed the police that his 12-year-old niece had a video of Low on her mobile phone.

Last year, Titus gave the police the password to his OnlyFans account and the e-mail linked to it. During the investigation, Titus was not allowed to access his account, which he breached.

On the same day, his password was given to the police, Titus contacted the helpdesk of OnlyFans and informed them that his account has been hacked. He then requested for a change of his password, and the next day, he was back on the platform uploading obscene images and videos.

The police then could not access his account, to which Titus admitted to changing his password. On his OnlyFans account, he uploaded numerous photos and videos, which showed him performing sexual acts. Titus is also the first content creator in Singapore charged with the spreading of obscene images on the platform.

Just last week, Titus made headlines after his intimate TikTok clip with Malaysian model, Pui Yi went viral which upset his wife, Cheryl Chin who spoke out publicly about her disappointment.

Regardless, we hope this will be a reminder to fellow content creators out there to follow the guidelines.
