Staff at Hospital Sungai Buloh in Selangor lined the hospital corridors to pay their final respects to the nation’s first female surveyor at The Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM), honouring her selfless decision to donate her organs after she sadly passed away on 20 June.

In a Facebook post, the hospital paid tribute to the late Puan Hajjah Normah, a former lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), whose organs and tissues were donated on 21 June to help five people in need.

“We were honoured to work alongside the Hepatobiliary Surgery Team from the University of Malaya (UM), whose dedication helped make this noble effort possible.

“Heartfelt appreciation also goes to her family for honouring her wishes, as well as to the surgical teams from Sungai Buloh Hospital and the University of Malaya, who worked tirelessly to make this mission possible. May her soul be showered with mercy and be placed among the righteous,” the hospital wrote.
