Three men were arrested after they were involved in a fight that took place in Jalan Changkat, Bukit Bintang on Sunday (10 October).

Videos on social media show several men in a scuffle and throwing chairs and ketchup bottles at each other. One of them, who looks like a foreigner, can be seen bleeding at the back of his head.

Dang Wangi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Dellhan Yahaya said the Criminal Investigation Division of the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters (IPD) have opened an investigation under Section 148 of the Penal Code for possessing weapons or missiles at riot.

The accused will face imprisonment for up to five years or a fine, or both, upon conviction.

Noor Dellhan said the suspects were aged between 32 and 52, and added that an investigation paper will be handed over to the Deputy Public Prosecutor’s office once the investigation is completed, reported Sinar Harian.

He reminded members of the public not to spread the video which could cause public outrage, and urges those who have further information about the incident to contact the Dang Wangi IPD at 03-26002222 or the Kuala Lumpur Police hotline at 03-21159999 or any nearby police station.
