A man’s action of recording himself riding a motorcycle against traffic went viral on TikTok recently, leaving Malaysians at the edge of their seats due to how dangerous the act was.

The video, which has garnered over 415,500 views as of the time of writing, showed the man not only riding against traffic but also on a super narrow pavement by the roadside that was barely wide enough for his motorbike.

Dubbing the route he took a “scary shortcut”, the overlaid text on the video also pointed out how on the left, he was met with buses, while on the right, there was a drain.

Going against traffic on the one-way road, the man risked his life to get to his destination faster, which is via a super narrow pavement in between the road and the drain.

Thankfully, at the end of the video, the man made it out safely through the small route, despite the scare of all the heavy vehicles zipping past him on the left.

In the caption, the man wrote,

Besides that, a majority of the comments pointed out how riding on the narrow pavement was similar to the driver’s licence test by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) for motorcyclists.
