Back in 2020, the chairman of the Terengganu state Youth, Sports and NGO Development Committee, Ustaz Wan Sukairi Wan Abdullah revealed that the state’s 2 sports complex construction projects were allegedly going smoothly.

The funding for the projects were allegedly approved by the Malaysian Youth and Sports Ministry (KBSM), where the complex in the Jabi district would cost a whopping RM6.2 million.

Prior to that, in 2018, KBSM had taken to their Twitter account to showcase images of the would-be RM6.2 million Jabi Sports Complex, which boasted a football field, a running track, a shaded volley ball court and more.

Well, just 2 days ago, Jabi ADUN and Terengganu State Government Exco, Dr Azman Ibrahim, took to his Twitter account to showcase the newly completed Jabi Sports Complex and it is safe to say that people are absolutely NOT IMPRESSED.

He wrote, “This is a picture after completion. Pictures of before May 2018, it was just an empty land.”

Many took the opportunity to point out that the completed Jabi Sports Complex does not look like what was promised and that it doesn’t look like it costed RM6.2 million.

Sports 4

“What kind of sports complex is this? It looks like the place where cattle are raised. Pity the voters of Jabi, they are getting pissed on by PAS everyday.”

Sports 5

“The neighbourhood fields look better.”

Sports 8

“I thought this was a ‘before’ picture. When I read back, it turns out this is the ‘completed’ picture.”

Sports 7

“RM6.2 million for this? Pfft just resign man. You are just embarrassing the people.”

Sports 6

“When they were building it, they hyped it up insanely. Where is the track? What was done with the money?”

We genuinely hope that the authorities will address the people’s concerns by breaking down how the RM6.2 million was spent on the Jabi Sports Complex.

What do you think about this? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
