“I kawtim with the doctor” – M’sian Civil Servant Admits to Using Govt Funds for Cosmetic Braces

A woman, who is allegedly a civil servant, has proudly revealed her misuse of government funds through dental claims. This came to light when the woman’s friend, in a one-minute TikTok video, asked her how she managed to get her braces done.

In the video, she admitted to using the benefits provided by the government agency she works with for the purpose of getting braces through one of their panel clinics.

“Our agency has a lot of panel clinics, so I take advantage of that when I have a fever or whatever,” the woman can be heard saying.

When her friend then pointed out that the woman’s braces are considered a cosmetic procedure and asked if she is authorised to claim for it, she replied, “It is actually not allowed to claim for braces, but I ‘kawtim‘ (handled it) with the doctor”.

Her friend then pointed out that she is being recorded, to which the both of them then laughed.

“Everything you said is in here, you ‘kawtim‘ with the doctor, your misuse of council funds,” her friend said, to which the woman responded with, “Whatever la”.

“You want to look pretty, you use government funds”, her friend added.

They both broke into laughter again and the friend asked, “Did you seriously do that?”

“We do what we must, if not it’s our loss”, the woman replied.
