“My superhero completed his job, and now he’s back on Krypton”
Wai Ho’s sacrifice has moved many worldwide, a loss made even more tragic by the fact that he was due to marry his girlfriend of 10 years next month.
The late firefighter had previously shared many intimate moments with his girlfriend on social media. One of them is currently circulating online, showing him confessing his love, saying, “Even if you’re annoyed, I’m still going to say ‘I love you’ 100 times.”
In another post, he also told his girlfriend to wait for him, saying it wouldn’t be long until they reached their desired destination
His girlfriend took to Threads to announce Wai Ho’s death. “My superhero completed his job, and now he’s back on Krypton,” she wrote.

Our deepest condolences go out to Wai Ho’s family and loved ones, as well as to the families of all those who tragically perished in the fire
