Ever since the Wuhan virus has reached Malaysia, citizens have been warned to take extra precautions when going outside, especially at places with a lot of people.

The authorities have been doing everything they can to ensure that public places are safe for citizens, however, what we often don’t see are the people working behind the scenes to keep the virus at bay.

Airport workers, especially, are working day and night cleaning handles, escalator hand rails, and trolley handle bars at airports so that potential viruses don’t get transferred to travellers.

The airport is the most dangerous place to be as people from all over the world, especially China, enter and depart from there.

Penang Kini posted several photos of workers toiling tirelessly to keep most-touched surfaces clean, which helps travellers from contracting the virus in some ways.

Netizens were quick to praise these workers for their effort and sacrifice.

“Thank you to all of you who are struggling to take care of us all from being infected while your own life is put at risk. May we all Malaysians be free from disease. You are the best,” a netizen commented.

“All of you are the heroes of the country. Thank you.” another netizen commented.

In the midst of the chaos, we have to thank these unseen heroes for doing their best to keep our airports clean. We are so grateful for their effort and sacrifice.
