Police Officers Get Into Fight at Brickfields Police Station Due to Personal Matters, 1 Sent to Hospital

Recently, a police report was circulated on different social media platforms. The report describes a physical altercation between 2 female police officers at a police station.

According to both Berita Harian and Guang Ming Daily, Brickfields district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood, has verified this incident and said that a private matter caused the scuffle.

“The incident does not involve any civilians and there was no use of dangerous weapons. The investigation for this case will be conducted from a disciplinary standpoint,” he added.

This incident occurred at 2:58 pm on Saturday, 25 May, at the Brickfields Police District Headquarters.

It is said that a female Lance Corporal was reportedly injured in the head after being hit using a mobile phone multiple times. Other than that, the assailant, a female Corporal, also kicked the victim’s legs.

Due to the assault, the Lance Corporal fell unconscious and was rushed to the University of Malaya Medical Center for treatment.

The dispute was mediated by other police officers who were present at the scene.

It is also said that the female Corporal involved had already recorded a statement.

 

Well, this is certainly unexpected, but we would like to reiterate that violence is never the answer to any problems.
