According to Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob, no restrictions will be imposed on economic activities for this year, including the operation of Ramadan Bazaars.

Nevertheless, he said that more refined standard operating procedures (SOPs) would be implemented for Ramadan Bazaars and would be announced soon.

“We will not close down businesses, I have mentioned earlier, the Raya celebrations, fasting month, Ramadan bazaars and night markets will go on as usual,” he told reporters, according to BERNAMA.

As of yesterday (12 February 2022), there were 22,802 new Covid-19 cases recorded, with most of them being in categories 1 and 2.
