DRB-HICOM employees must be feeling super excited now, not only do we all get to participate in one of the most significant act as a citizen of a “democratic” nation but these guys will be getting RM500 on April 30th.

So this incentive is “given” to them by none other than our very own Prime Minister Najib Razak and it comes up to a very cool total of RM30,000,000 (that’s 30 million). I am sure many of you reading about this and even most former state leaders would love to experience such discretionary powers with public coffers or perhaps the cashflow of a multi-billion ringgit company like DRB-HICOM.

PM Najib’s generosity doesn’t end there. No, no.

He throws in the icing on the cake too! According to The Star’s article, he is also building 500 medium cost homes under the People’s Housing Project (PPR) scheme and of which 100 of them will be solely allocated to DRB-HICOM’s workers. These 100 DRB-HICOM allocated homes will cost RM207,382 but will be sold to those eligible at only RM35,000 each. Does anyone wanna subsidise poor writers like us here at WOB? Mind you, we aren’t starving but being gainfully employed still entitles one to very generous subsidies.

My next career path is definitely government or getting a job, of any kind, in a GLC. The perks just keep on giving!
