Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin, took to his Facebook page today to announce that he will be addressing the nation live tonight at 8pm.

Posted by Muhyiddin Yassin on Rabu, 29 Julai 2020

While there is no indication of what the announcement will entail, the live broadcast is said to be about the upcoming Hari Raya Haji celebration. This comes after Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, announced that interstate travel is still allowed, along with SOPs for the long Hari Raya Haji weekend given the worrying rise in Covid-19 cases in recent days. However, the minister maintained that the nation will undergo another period of MCO if the total Covid-19 cases reach three figures.

The last time the Prime Minister addressed the nation, he announced the extension of moratorium periods and targeted bank assistance for those in precarious financial positions.

With the number of cases and clusters increasing daily, who knows what this announcement will mean for Malaysians? What do you guys think?
