PM Anwar: 2023 New Year Celebration in Dataran Merdeka Cancelled in Light of The Floods

Following the seriousness of the floods which are happening all across the country, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has just announced that this year’s annual New Year Celebration in Dataran Merdeka will be cancelled.

In a press conference held today (December 21), Anwar said that this is in light of the floods as well as the struggles that the rakyat are facing.
