Good news for PLUS Highway users! Starting today (1st February), your toll payments will be 18% cheaper!

The reduction by PLUS is in line with the announcement made by the Ministry of Finance on 23rd January in regards to the lowering of the toll fares.

The new toll rates took effect last night at all PLUS-operated highways which includes the:

  • North-South Expressway (NSE)
  • New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE)
  • North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE)
  • Malaysia-Singapore Second Crossing (LINKEDUA)
  • Seremban-Port Dickson Highway (SPDH), Butterworth – Kulim Expressway (BKE)
  • East-Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2)
  • Penang Bridge (PB).

As mentioned in a statement by PLUS, all Passenger Vehicles (Class 1), Taxis (Class 4) and Buses (Class 5) will be affected by the reduction and it will remain unchanged until the concession ends in 2058. However, the toll fares for lorries (Classes 2 & 3) will remain the same as before and will not be increased.

According to PLUS, they will still be committed to providing the best service for the rakyat despite the reduction, ensuring that the highways will be well maintained. They have also intensified their efforts in the bid to help lessen the cost of living in Malaysia. Surely everyone will now appreciate the savings they get to enjoy when they travel on PLUS highways!
