In this past week, a few states in Malaysia have been experiencing constant rainfall. This has caused many incidents of flash floods, and landslides to happen.
However, the last weekend proved to be the most catastrophic in multiple states such as Terengganu where the high tides and rough waves caused erosion, and in Raub, Pahang where heavy rain actually caused a bridge to collapse.
Recently, another landslide caused a road to collapse in the same state. The incident is shown in a post by JKR Bentong.

The affected road was later identified as FT218 (Jalan Bentong – Raub). It is said that the collapse happened at 11.50am on 3 January. The area spans to 50 metres and from the pictures, you can definitely see that this will take a long time to be fixed.
Road users are advised to use the alternative route known as, FT08, to get to their destinations.
According to other posts on their Facebook page, Raub and Bentong are now facing several instances of flash floods and also floods in different areas.
We pray for the safety of those who are currently facing the floods right now.
