We have seen so much news on animal cruelty lately that it is such a relief to finally stumble upon a kind soul that goes the extra mile to take care of stray animals. We all know that juggling between two jobs can be hard, but for Nazirah Abd Rahman, she decided that journey out of love towards cats and dogs.

The 42-year-old works as a beauty consultant in Ipoh on weekdays but every weekend, she can be spotted dressing up as a clown nearby a local cafe named Konda Kondi. As highlighted by MalayMail, she embarked on this journey so that she can make enough money to care for stray cats and dogs, which includes their food and medical bills.

She explained that she does all this because she sympathised with the animals as they cannot express their hunger or pain. She continued,

“So whenever I find stray cats or dogs, I will feed them and if they are wounded, I will bring them to the veterinarian.”

Nazirah, who currently has about 50 cats at home, has been doing this for more than four years and she needs to make about RM400 a week to care for them as well as the strays she comes across. She also has three kids who have begun to follow in her footsteps in taking care of stray animals.

We hope that more and more Malaysians like her can be highlighted for their efforts. To Nazirah, we would like to thank you for embarking on such a noble and selfless journey.
