Elections are when many more people talk about politics on social media.

Regarding that, Datuk Seri Hazani Ghazali, Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director has said that they will be monitoring social media comments to see if there are any sort of provocation or harassing comments during the state elections.

He has added that they will take action towards any individual who is found to have made statements touching on the 3Rs: Royalty, Religion and Race.

“We will monitor the cyber war and 3R issue on social media sites, I trust that Malaysians are disciplined.”

“Social media users are reminded to always be polite and not cross any boundaries when giving opinions or making any statements.”
