PDRM on The Hunt For Robbers Who Blew Up an ATM in a Klang Convenience Store

2 robbers blew up an automatic teller machine (ATM) before fleeing with the cash from a convenience store in Pekan Meru, Klang.

The incident which took place this morning (8 February) was discovered when employees of the convenience store arrived at 8am to find the glass door of the store broken and the door of the ATM blown open.

Based on a report by Sinar Harian, North Klang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner S Vijaya Rao believes the incident took place at about 3am-4am.

CCTV footage had allegedly shown 2 individuals breaking into the store through the front door.

“The 2 suspects then blew up the ATM machine inside the convenience store before fleeing with the money. The amount of money stolen is still under investigation,” he said.

They are currently actively tracking down the suspects and the case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.

It is unsure as to how the suspects blew up the ATM.
