Being naturally attractive is a gift, but who knew it could be a curse for some, especially when you’re trying to make a good 1st impression on your partner’s family?

In a recent confession shared by @meinmokhtar, a woman (let’s call her Fatin) recounts her experience of visiting her boyfriend’s house to meet his family for the first time.

She’s a gold digger because she’s pretty!

In the post, the 25-year-old reveals how she decided to stop by her boyfriend’s house to pray, where she met his family for the 1st time.

Fatin went on to share that during her visit, she overheard her boyfriend’s aunt and uncle discussing her, suggesting she might be a gold digger because she is more attractive than her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend is financially stable

Fatin further revealed that despite her boyfriend being average-looking, he is financially stable. She also mentioned that she herself has a good income.

“I’m not sure why his aunt and uncle said such things about me, especially considering they know I have a professional career. While my income isn’t as high as his, that’s because I’ve only been working for 2 years.”

However, she continued to explain that despite everything, her income and experience are guaranteed to increase as she progresses along her career path.

“He is worthy of love”

Fatin then revealed that she never told her boyfriend about what was said by his aunt and uncle because she didn’t want to hurt his feelings.

She continued to express how her boyfriend is deserving of love, emphasising his kindness and respectfulness towards her, which initially drew her to him.

But then she mentioned that upon seeing his aunt and uncle’s impression and how they accept her in that way, she’s realising she may have doubts about continuing her relationship with her boyfriend.

“Seeing his aunt and uncle’s, I’m starting to reconsider pursuing this relationship further. For instance, my own family isn’t from a wealthy background, and they’ve never judged anyone in that manner.”
