A 53-year-old woman in Melaka, who is in a polygamous marriage, was arrested by PDRM for spreading nude photos of her husband’s younger wife.
The Magistrate Court today issued a remand order for two days on the woman, an insurance agent, for threatening and spreading nude photos of her husband’s 47-year-old younger wife.
According to sources quoted by Sinar Harian, the arrest was made last night (June 1) at KLIA. The younger wife, who is also a school teacher, lodged a police report after her father in Klebang, Melaka, received a letter containing the victim and her husband’s nude photos in March.
The suspect also threatened and harassed the teacher’s family, prompting the victim to seek help from the police on March 27.
The suspect was previously classified as a wanted individual following a report made by the victim.
The remand order against the 53-year-old suspect, which began today (June 2), was issued by Magistrate Nurul Asyikin Rosli after an application was made by the investigating officer. This is to complete the investigation of the case under Sections 507 and 509 of the Penal Code.
The suspect’s lawyer, Sheikh Ikhzan Sheikh Salleh, however, said his party objected to the four-day remand application requested by the police, reported Sinar Harian.
