Sepang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bahaman, stated that the arrests were made in Johor Bahru and Gemencheh, Negeri Sembilan, between 9:00 AM yesterday (June 26) and 2:00 AM today (June 27). The police will be applying for a remand from the Sepang Sessions Court on all suspects to assist in the investigation, which is conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, reported Utusan and Sinar Harian.

PDRM also believed that all 3 suspects personally knew the victim, Maniishapriet Kaur Akhara, who hailed from Sarawak.
