Coming across news regarding rape (and domestic violence) almost every day leaves us wondering if people would actually stop.
A 19-year-old Pahang teenager who works at a supermarket was allegedly kicked, raped, as well as sodomised by her 21-year-old fiance. According to the New Straits Times, this incident occurred on 13 September in Paya Pulai, Temerloh. The husband-to-be lured her into his rented room by asking her to help him retrieve his mobile phone.

The victim was invited to go out by her fiance that very night, and he told her that he left his phone in his room. Thus, both of them headed back to his room to take his phone.
However, right after she entered his room, he allegedly began hitting and kicking her several times, and he proceeded to rape and sodomise her. Temerloh District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner, Zundin Mahmood, mentioned that the suspect had inserted objects into the victim’s private parts. The reported objects were a deodorant bottle and a pimple sucking machine (which looks like a branch).
The victim was allegedly threatened to not speak about it. She finally lodged a police report yesterday (4 October), and her statement was recorded. Medical examinations had also proved that the teenager was a victim of rape and sodomy.
The good news so far is that the police arrested the suspect and he had been remanded for seven days. This case is being investigated for rape, sodomy, and also committing unnatural sex.
What a horrible thing to do to your fiance! We really don’t understand what goes through the rapists’ minds, because consent is the most essential thing in a relationship. Just because someone is your partner doesn’t mean you can rape them. Hopefully, justice will be served, and the teenager will receive proper treatment.
