Multiple areas in China recently had outbreaks of the Norovirus, causing many children in schools to fall ill after exhibiting symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhoea.

In Japan, however, the situation seems to be worse – outbreaks of the COVID-19 and influenza epidemic are ongoing throughout Japan.

In a report by China Press, the Japanese Television Company NHK reported that the number of patients who visited medical institutions due to influenza infection in the past week alone reached 340,000.

According to statistics from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases,  as of December 8, the number of new COVID-19 patients in  reached 15,163, an increase of 3,218 from the previous week.

As for influenza, 44,673 patients were recorded, an increase of 20,000 patients from the past week.
