“Our voices will have impact” – M’sian Taxi Drivers to Hold ‘Kekal Anwar’ Rally to Show Support for PMX

Now that the Opposition is done with the Turun Anwar rally that progressed smoothly on July 26, a group of Malaysians is organising another rally to show support for Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, dubbed “Kekal Anwar” (Maintain Anwar).

The Kekal Anwar rally will be held on September 27, 2025, at Merdeka Square, and the event is organised by the taxi drivers’ group to voice out their support for the Prime Minister.

This time, PMX himself is cordially invited to the rally.

Despite being organised on a smaller scale as compared to the recent Turun Anwar rally, the President of Gabungan Teksi SeMalaysia (GTSM), Kamarudin Hussain, is convinced that their voices will make a change.

“We’re just a small part of the community, but we believe that our voices will have a big impact.”

“It’s not just going to impact Malaysians, but other countries will also notice.”

Kamarudin, who is also the former head of PKR Selayang, said that students, members of the Barisan Nasional (BN), as well as Pakatan Harapan, are encouraged to participate to show support for the MADANI government.

The matter was shared at a press conference on Tuesday (July 29), when Kamarudin said PMX has shown his capability in steering the country towards a better direction and fair, progressive leadership.

“We’re merely taxi drivers. We don’t make that much, but as Malaysians, we will not remain silent.”

“We will defend this government.”

To ensure the smoothness of the rally, Kamarudin also sought financial help from the public to organise the event, according to Harapan Daily.
