More than just a converging point for cosplayers, artists and geeks from all around Malaysia (and other countries too!), here’s why the 2023 edition of this yabai TACG convention is 100% unmissable for otakus!:

1. Cosplay booths for you to meet and greet amazing cosplayers

Come and say hi to some of the most stunning cosplayers from Malaysia and abroad at their booths! Here, you can admire their sugoi cosplays, buy merch to show support and take a selfie with them too to immortalise the moment. (But remember to ask if they consent or charge to take pictures!)

Don’t sit out on this rare opportunity to meet and greet big players in the cosplay scene, from the Douyin-famous international cosplayer Jane Jie to Cos-Mic Stars’ very own lineup of stunning local cosplayers including Eevon, Phi, Hanabi, Helen, Stella and Jiajia!

2. Artist Alley booths and a Pokémon Pop-up Store where you can buy artwork and merch

Do you consider yourself a person of (pop) culture? Then Cos-Mic’s Artist Alley is where you can get your fix of dazzling doujin artbooks, posters, knick-knacks and all kinds of artwork! Featuring 80 booths handled by local artists, there’ll be no shortage of outstanding art pieces to marvel at!

And if you fancy yourself as a Pokémon master, then Cos-Mic has a special treat just for you! This time around, Cos-Mic is opening a Pokémon Pop-up Store where you can purchase official Pokémon plushies, merchandise and more! Pokémon goods tend to run out fast, so make sure to grab your merch while stocks last!

3. Stellar anisong performances by both local and international artists

Your fave anime just doesn’t feel the same without epic OP songs, kan? So to add some awesomeness to the musical segment of Cos-Mic, they’re going all out by inviting musical talents from all around the region! The most hyped performance will definitely be by Burnout Syndromes, the J-rock band behind the OPs for numerous famous anime including Dr. STONE, Gintama and the sports genre sensation, Haikyu!!

And that’s not all; Cos-Mic will also showcase homegrown talents who will perform your favourite anisongs including Fate Feather, Rina-Hime, MinRi and many more. So make sure to get your groove on with these awesome anisong artists at Cos-Mic 2023!

4. Talk shows and Q&As with an international voice actor and famous creative industry guests

In addition to high-profile musical artists, Cos-Mic will also hold talks with big-name guests from all over the industry! Starting off, Cos-Mic will have the seiyuu Yurie Igoma, the voice behind the super kawaii Ruby from the hit 2023 anime Oshi no Ko!

You’ll also get to gain creative industry insights by attending a Meet & Greet and talk show hosted by Ernest Ng, the creator and illustrator of the best-selling (and hilarious!) Don’t Like That La Bro and Covidball Z comic series!

But wait; there’s more! Cos-Mic will also have three NIJISANJI EN VTubers who will attend virtually to say hi to all Cos-Mic attendees!:

  • Meloco Kyoran

  • Kotoka Torahime

  • Shu Yamino

With so many esteemed guests gathering in one place, Malaysian geeks ought not to miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see them in the flesh!

Looking to buy tickets? Here’s how!

Tickets are available for purchase on-site for each day BUT if you wanna get RM10 off per day ticket then we highly recommend purchasing tickets through the Cos-Mic App. Here are the steps to purchase tickets via the app:

  1. Download the Cos-Mic App from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Register accordingly
  3. Select the Cos-Mic 2023 event in the app
  4. Purchase your tickets

Once you’re done, all you have to do is redeem your wristband tickets at Sunway Pyramid Blue Atrium’s redemption booth. The redemption period starts from 31 October to 5 November but we suggest redeeming your tix as early as possible to avoid queuing in long lines!

“Eh jap. Don’t have to buy separate tix to see Burnout Syndromes and the other invited guests ah?”

No need for those lah; unlike most other TACG cons, these exhibition tickets are all-inclusive! So just by using the above tickets, you get to:

  1. Watch Burnout Syndromes’ live concert. (No extra charges to watch the concert separately!)
  2. Attend talk show appearances by Yurie Igoma and the NIJISANJI EN VTubers.
  3. Qualify for a chance to win Oppo phones and Acer laptops as part of Cos-Mic’s lucky draw.

Now that’s what we call a bang for your buck! But the offerings don’t end there! ?
