2 men in Johor Bahru were accused of peeping on a woman in the fitting room of a clothing store.
In a viral Facebook post by Jia Ying Foo, the woman said she was ready to try on the new outfits she brought into the fitting room, but her experience was interrupted by the two men.
“I had shut the curtain but the men pulled it and looked at me when I was changing. Surveillance camera managed to capture the scene. I was shocked!”

Based on the CCTV footage, both men were seen lingering outside the fitting room area while chatting, until they stood outside the fitting room where Jia Ying was and pulled the curtain. When they saw Jia Ying in the fitting room, one of the men shut the curtain back and laughed before leaving the scene.
Could it be an accidental mistake? Jia Ying believed the men peeped on purpose.

The matter happened on Sunday (June 15) at a clothing shop in Mount Austin, Johor Bahru, and Jia Ying decided to circulate the matter the next day to raise awareness among women. Jia Ying also said that she would not keep quiet about the matter and would lodge a police report against the men. She also thanked the management of the clothing store for providing her with the CCTV footage to help with her report.

In an Instagram story by the clothing store, the men were said to have visited the store with two other women, who, based on the store employees’ observation, did not try on any outfits.
“They were just casually browsing through. There were two other ladies in respective fitting rooms.”
“The men ignored the lady in the first fitting room because her boyfriend was there. As for the victim, she was too afraid to leave the fitting room until she was sure that the men had left.”

Johor Bahru South District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat, confirmed that a report was lodged by the 26-year-old victim. PDRM in Johor is currently on the hunt for the men who are suspected of harassing the female victim while she was changing her clothes.
During the incident, one of the suspects was also seen holding his mobile phone, said Raub Selamat.
The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for insulting the modesty of a person, which provides for a prison sentence of up to five years or a fine or both if convicted.
