The man broke his leg after being hit by the car

According to Harian Metro, the 61-year-old retiree who was sweeping outside his home in Taman Tiara Perdana, Simpang Renggam, suffered a broken left leg and a forehead injury after being hit by the car.

The incident happened around 8:30 AM, involving a Toyota Yaris driven by a 37-year-old nurse, who also experienced chest pain due to the crash.

Kluang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh, said the nurse was on the way home to Simpang Renggam from Johor Bahru after finishing a shift.

The nurse had a valid driver’s license

Bahrin said both victims were taken to Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom in Kluang for treatment.

“The driver lost control of the car and hit the victim, who was sweeping in front of his house at the time. The Toyota Yaris also crashed into an electric pole, causing it to break and fall,” he said.

He added that the nurse has a valid driver’s license, and the case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
