Babies are by far and wide, the most vulnerable to diseases given their severely weak immune systems. As such, it is no surprise that parents and health officials alike will go to extreme lengths to ensure that their infants are protected, especially during the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak.
Well in Thailand, a hospital has taken upon itself to create a solution to help protect these vulnerable souls, according to China Press. Newborns that were born in Paolo Hospital in Samut Prakarn were given mini versions of the regular plastic face-shields that medical officers wear in order to protect them from the Covid-19 coronavirus.
The cute photos were uploaded onto social media and have since gone viral, showing how the babies adorably sleep while almost half their bodies are completely protected by the large plastic shields!
But the best thing is, the infants don’t seem at all bothered by the face-shields, as many of them did not appear to cry while having the shields strapped to their foreheads.
Whether if this is considered a drastic measure or not, we suppose that you simply can’t afford to skimp on the safety of those most vulnerable to the virus at this critical point in time! Kudos to the hospital staff for coming up with a solution to protect the newborn infants.
