The attempt to kidnap
The Nepalese man posed as a cleaner and attempted to abduct a 2-year-old boy in Kampung Bunga Raya on October 22 around 12:40 PM when the child was playing alone.
The suspect’s actions were thwarted after the residents noticed the incident and apprehended him before handing him over to the police.
The child’s 30-year-old aunt, who was also present, managed to pull the child away from the suspect’s grasp before he fled. The case is being investigated under Section 363 of the Penal Code for abduction.
