A recent announcement by the operator of various airports in Malaysia unveiling the new revamped seating facilities at one of its international airports was met with ridicule by Malaysians instead.

This is because the words used to describe the new seating facilities don’t match the actual facilities, which are just metal pole benches commonly found at bus stops in our country.

In the Facebook post, the airport operator lauded the revamped seating area at the airport’s transportation hub as providing travellers with ‘enhanced comfort’ and ‘extra space’.

The post asserted,

“The newly revamped seating area on Level 1 of the Transportation Hub now provides travellers with enhanced comfort and extra space while they wait for their transport.”

“Experience a more enjoyable journey as you continue on your way!”

Malaysians make fun of the new seating facilities

In the comments section, Malaysians make fun of the new seating arrangement, questioning how the metal pole benches can provide ‘enhanced comfort’.

One commenter joked that if these metal pole benches are truly comfortable, then Parliament should change the seats used by Members of Parliament (MPs) with these instead.

Meanwhile, another commenter sarcastically said that these metal pole benches are the only type of seating that Malaysians can use as if they’re too comfortable, it’ll be stolen less than 24 hours after installation or even be swarmed with homeless people turning them into their homes.

So, what do you guys think of the new seating? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
