Taking to TikTok, netizen @efa.taifor shared a video of how her dryer caused a small fire at her home near Platinum Splendor Residensi, Semarak, Kuala Lumpur.

The fire, which was attributed to her overheated dryer, saw neighbours working together to put it out and provide a first-response rescue mission before firefighters came to the scene.

The user shared, “This, to me, is my most horrific experience.”

“…an overheating dryer caused the fire. Lesson learned. Never leave dryers unattended.

“…I love my neighbours who helped throughout the incident,” they added.

In a follow-up video, she shared how things were when the firefighters arrived.
