It’s no secret that Malaysians love convenience. But, our love for convenience always comes at the expense of others.

For example, a woman decided to park her car at a petrol pump so that she could use the petrol station’s shopping mart. Though, little did she notice that she was inconveniencing others as her action led to a queue of cars waiting to use the petrol pump.

The 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians Facebook page showcased a video of this incident, while condemning the woman’s actions.

They wrote, “Selfish people. There’s a long queue behind her for the petrol pump, but this Mak Cik parked here and went shopping inside.”

In the video, the woman’s car can be seen parked at the petrol pump while she is no where to be seen. Only after a while did she appear from the mart with a plastic bag in her hand, before getting into her car and driving away.

Netizens have since taken to the post to share their disappointment over the woman’s actions

Park 3

“There’s parking spaces in front of the store, be more considerate la.”

Park 4

“Inconveniencing others.”

Park 5

“Common sense left at home.”

Park 6

“Please respect other road users who want to pump petrol at the station. If you want to go shopping or use the rest room, you must use the parking at the front (of the store), don’t park at the pump as you’ll make it harder for other drivers to pump petrol.”
